About Me

I have a Post Graduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE).

I hold an Advanced Diploma for Transpersonal Psychotherapy.

I also have a Certificate in Dream Work.

I have completed a Diploma in Transpersonal Supervision.

I am fully accredited by the UKCP and am a registered member of the BACP (MBACP)

Prior to my psychotherapy training I worked for many years in the corporate and voluntary sector, both in the UK and overseas.

My own life experiences have been my greatest teacher, once I recognised that I required the support, dedication and compassion of a therapist of my own to unravel my life.

I have been seeing clients for 11 years and have worked in private practice, counselling centres and the NHS. I therefore have a wide range of experience to draw on.

I am particularly drawn to the work of Carl Jung, and work with the unconscious, often through dreams. I have also completed a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Course and use this where appropriate.

How I work

I see clients on a one to one basis for either long or short term work. If it’s appropriate for the individual, I can see clients more than once a week.

The following are some of the issues that I have worked with:

depression; panic attacks; stress and anxiety; bereavement; relationship problems; emotional, physical and sexual abuse; lack of meaning; divorce; eating disorders; spiritual crises; ageing; identity problems; adoption; disability; problems rooted in childhood trauma.

I am fully insured and abide by the UKCP code of conduct.
